On Monday, November 7th, the Head of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Argentine Embassy in Korea, Luciano Escobar, spoke at the "35th Overseas Metal Association Seminar" organized by the Korea Resources Corporation (KORES), at its facilities in Gangnam. The "Overseas Metal Association" involves KORES, Korea's Ministry of Commerce, the Industry and Energy (MOTIE), and private companies such as LG International Corp, Korea ExImBank, Woori Bank, POSCO Daewoo, POSCO E & C, SK Networks, GS Global, Hyundai Steel And Samsung C & T, Korea Zinc, among others.
The seminar consisted of five presentations on international mining market trends, non-ferrous mineral exploitation projects, mining project agreements, and lithium market trends. The seminar was given by renowned professionals in the mining sector.
Argentine presentation focused on general information, current macroeconomic aspects and, fundamentally, on the new trends for mining investments in the country, emphasizing the credibility and sustainability of Argentine policies in the field of investments since the arrival of President Mauricio Macri`s administration.
The seminar was attended by about 40 representatives of the following companies: Posco Daewoo; Posco E & C; Gossamer; Korea Battery Industry Association; Samil Pricewaterhouse Coopers; Daesung Industrial Co .; Korea Mining Industry Association; Korea PDS; Woori bank; KIGAM (Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources) ", who welcomed the news about the new policies of the Argentine government for the sector.
