Between the 13 and the 17 September Korea International Art Fair (KIAF) took place in Seoul

The KIAF is the most important art fair in Korea and one of the largest in Asia. This edition included the participation of 181 galleries from 20 countries with over 7,000 works of art. In this sense, KIAF represents for Argentine art a great opportunity to penetrate the growing Asian market.

This time Latin America was the guest of honor on the occasion of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and most of countries of that region.

In the previous edition 2011 New World Foundation gallery attended the fair. This time, besides New World, Praxis Gallery traveled to Seoul.

The New World Foundation came with works of artists Gerardo Feldstein, Monica Fierro, Michele Molinari, Margarita Tonconogy, Sebastian Chillemi, Teluriocromo, and Fortunato Adrian Cho Yong Hwa.

Praxis International Art, with galleries in Miami and New York, introduced the artists Martin La Rose, Darlene Charneco, Maria Berrio and Elena Nieves.

The results, according to the exhibitors, exceeded their expectations.

On September 14 the Argentine Embassy hosted a reception at the Residence in order to promote  Argentine artists at the fair.
