The Argentine Republic adhered to the Joint Declaration of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) in support of the implementation of Resolutions 2375 and 2397 of the United Nations Security Council, of September 11 and November 28, 2017, respectively; concerning the new sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), together with Germany, Australia, Canada, Denmark, the United States, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, Republic of Korea and Singapore.

Argentina reiterates its commitment to the principles of interdiction of the PSI and calls for redoubled efforts in order to exert maximum pressure for the DPRK to fully implement the relevant resolutions of the Security Council.

Argentina once again urges the DPRK to comply with immediate effect the aforementioned Resolutions, putting an end to the methodology of hostile acts in the region that constitute a new threat to international peace and security.
