On October 24 and 25, 2017, the Chair of the WTO's 11th Ministerial Conference (MC11) visited the Republic of Korea where she participated in a special session dedicated to the Conference within the 20th Round of the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership" (RCEP) and held a meeting with the Deputy Minister for Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea, Dr. Sanjin Lee.
On each occasion, Mrs. Malcorra pointed out that the MC11 will seek to reaffirm the multilateral trading system, will work to achieve tangible results and will delineate general orientations for future work of the WTO.
The Ministerial Conference is the most important decision-making body of the WTO. The 11th Ministerial Conference will take place in Buenos Aires, between December 10th and 13th, 2017 and will bring together representatives of the 164 members of the Organization.
