As in many other cities in the world, on Monday April 18th 2016, the Embassy of the Argentine Republic celebrated the “Malbec World Day 2016”, the 5th consecutive in South Korea. This year's program included a professional tasting at Seoul Millennium Hilton Hotel and two professional seminars.

Fourteen Korean companies’ importers of Argentine wines joined the tasting, representing 15 wineries of our country.   A crowd of more than 280 people tasted consciously all different wines, mainly sommeliers, wine experts, journalists, bloggers and representatives of local bars, hotels, restaurants and retailers.

The Argentine Ambassador to Korea, Mr. Jorge Roballo, gave a short welcoming speech, followed by a short talk offered by the President of the well-known magazine "Wine Review," Mr. Choi Hoon, who explained to the guests about the characteristics that define the Malbec wine.

The seminars were carried out in an adjacent room. The importer "Nara Cellar" presented “Kaikén” wines and the importer "Shinsegae L & B" presented wines from “Achaval Ferrer”. Mr. Eduardo Stark from “Kaiken winery” and Mr. Jevgenijs Suscinskis from “Achaval Ferrer cellar” led the seminars.
