On Thursday, November 3rd a new Argentine`s wine tasting was held in Seoul under the organization of the Argentine Embassy and the promoter entity "Wines of Argentina (WOFA)", together with "Wine Review Magazine".

This wine promotion activity took place at Seoul`s Millenium Hilton Hotel with the participation of twenty four Argentine wineries, some of them for the first time in Korea.

The professional tasting was oriented to representatives of Korean importing companies as well as those from "wine bars", restaurants, "sommeliers", special guests and members of the general and specialized media.

The day began with a "Masterclass" given by a representative of “Wines of Argentina” at the "Jade Room" lounge, adjacent to the main hall, where the characteristics of the argentine wine, grapes, terroirs, etc. were discussed with some thirty senior professionals.  During this 90 minutes session, four Argentine wineries that do not have yet importers in Korea had the opportunity to introduce their new wines.

Immediately after the professional tasting started at the Atrium Hall according with the following schedule:

13:45-14:00 - Reception of guests, accreditation and delivery of catalogs
14:00 - Opening ceremony by Ambassador Jorge Roballo and General Manager of Wines of Argentina, Mr. Mario Giordano.
14:10 - Short Argentine tango performance by the professional dancers Ivana & Mauricio.
14:20 – Beginning of the Professional tasting of wines from twenty four Argentine wineries.
17:00 - Closing of the activity.

Also, another similar activity targeted to the general public took place between 18:00 and 21:00 with the coordination of Wines Review magazine and Wines of Argentina."

The attendees were very excited for the chance of tasting a great variety of argentine wines, as well as the wineries that kindly explained the qualities of their wines and answered all questions from an interested and curious public.
